Stand Up for Education!
Now that school is back in session I've been in the classroom a bit more lately. With 3 kids in elementary school, I can't help but wonder what the findings will be from this
article
that caught my attention.
In a nutshell, there is a teacher in Minnesota that is working with her students to measure the improvement in education by using standing desks rather than regular chairs. It really makes a lot of sense, although I'm sure standing all day will make a child more tired. Even for myself I find that I am more alert during the day if I'm up and around more rather than stationary all day at my desk.
I certainly haven't done the article justice. Please read it for yourself. Any thoughts on what the outcome will be? The results of this study could bring a lot of innovation to the
school furniture
market, not to mention the
corporate office
world.
